The latest release of qashqade (version 24.3.0) focuses on data preparation improvements and calculation engine simplifications. This release also includes several user usability improvements, integration and bug fixes.

We have introduced significant updates to data preparation functionality.

Incrementization made simpler

Incrementization, the functionality of converting balances to flows via incrementization has been relocated to Data Preparation. This change allows you to manually set the order of execution for data preparations and incrementizations, even in the case of a realized waterfall.

TiE is now available in Data Preparation

TiE, a feature that bundles transactions belonging to the same event, can significantly optimize resource usage during calculations. In this latest version, this simplification is now available for Data Preparation.

Improved Step Based Data Preparations

Step-based Data Preparation has been improved for greater efficiency. Transactions created using data available prior to their execution will now account for step values that precede them. As a result, these transactions may not trigger iterations, streamlining the process further.

Metadata now includes summary field

The metadata now includes a new field designed to enhance functionality.

As a reminder, you can attach metadata to any run output or management report simply by checking the dedicated checkboxes. This metadata contains all configuration items related to a waterfall, ensuring thorough audit and review capabilities. Additionally, the free-text descriptions of configuration items are now included.

Introducing time weighted deal allocation ratio

We have introduced the Time-Weighted Deal Allocation Ratio, adding a new dimension to the Deal Allocation module for allocating fund-level amounts to deals.

This deal allocation rule can be applied to any transaction, such as a fund-level expense. For instance, a fund-level expense can now account for both the deal's contribution ratios and the time-weighted allocation, providing more flexible calculations.

Improved handling of Reroutes based on sorting order

The handling of reroutes in the Reroute section has been improved, particularly for scenarios involving both Release Reroutes and Total Reroutes. This enhancement ensures that rerouting logic follows a clear and predictable sequence, improving accuracy and flexibility.

Usability improvements and bug fixes

This release also includes several usability improvements and bug fixes.
